Step 6: NOURISHING NUTRITION

Are you confused by what all the fad diets say about what you should eat to lose fat?


There are so many conflicting diets out there that it's hard to know what's right and wrong.  

According to Paul Chek - internationally recognised strength coach

  • 100% of the world's population will feel their best when they are on a diet that is comprised of whole foods (nothing processed).
According to Charles Poliquin - another internationally recognised strength coach
  • 97% of people will feel best on a diet that is free of gluten (a protein that is found in wheat) and,
  • 70% of the population will feel their best on the "Paleo Diet".  (Just like a caveman ate…high protein and small amounts of carbohydrates sourced from vegetables and (limited) fruit).
What you can take away from this… No matter what any diet book or 'guru' tells you… Everything you eat should be a whole food, something that is, or once was living.  Likelihood is that if it comes in a package… you shouldn't be eating it.  If you start by thinking like this, you will be off to a great start.  

Now, from this point, there are tweaks that can be made to help you personalise your fat loss results. Mickey with Carrot

As with all our clients, when Mickey came in we asked him to start eating whole foods.  We taught him what to buy and where to buy things for the best quality food with the best prices.  It turns out that even Monkeys shouldn't be eating processed food!

We helped make the transition to eating whole foods an easy one for him.  We started to personalise the plan for him.  For Mickey to get the most effective and efficient results, he needed to be eating like his caveman cousin.

*** Don't get scared of this… you still get to eat other things.  There is a process to this and it's best done with supervision so that we make sure you are keeping your body functioning properly and staying healthy.  Done without help from a professional... you could easily end up sick or with bad  side effects. 

It is a very unfortunate mistake to overlook the intake of various very important nutrients when undertaking an eating plan like this. Like I said… everyone has different nutritional needs and some people will need certain element tailored to their particular needs. ***

So Mickey incorporated the tweaks we made to his plan.  He was challenged by this, but stuck with it because he knew the end result was his 6 pack abs. 

After  only a short time, he was already seeing a difference.  We could tell by:

  1. his measurements and
  2. many of his other symptoms started to disappear.
